Members who ride a 1200GS Adventure
40 something male who started riding bikes at age 16. Currently living in Langebaan on the West Coast. 'Real name' - Peter
Have been an avid bike rider for more than 30 years, but road bike only. Acquired our 1200GS Adventure last year May as an "escape goat" from all our children & grandchildren and have had many happy miles of travelling across our beautiful country. Our highlight so far has been our adventure we undertook with the BMW Eco Challenge all the way to Clocolan last year & hoping to join in again this year! We're still novices as far as the "off road" scene is concerned, but we are lapping up every training session BMW has to offer locally and also doing our own bit of off road (gravel roads mainly)on weekends! The only regret we have is that we did not do this 20 years ago!!!!!! Martin & Ilze Friederich :)

Brought my bike for weekends. Loved riding so much that its now my main source of transport and I enjoy every minute on it
XT600 during varsity years. Then 2 years ago Honda Transalp 650, and 2 weeks ago...2007 1200GSA.
